“Vaccines are the most effective tools there are to prevent children from getting sick,” said Dr. Wilma Wooten, San Diego County public health officer. “When children are not vaccinated, not only are they at increased risk for disease, they can also spread illness to others in classrooms, households and communities.”

For easy reference, below is an immunization guide offered by the California Department of Public Health, which lists vaccines by age group.

This isn’t correct. According to CURRENT state law you are allowed a religious or personal belief exemption. The FUTURE law, which recently passed, of SB277 will start NEXT school year but PBE & religious exemptions filed before January 1, 2016 will “grandfather” student in until the next grade span as defined in the bill. Please don’t spread misinformation like so many others currently are.
