This Week in Astrology With Nick Newmont

A NEW MOON occurs on Friday, December 11, 2015, at 2:29 a.m. PST.

The New Moon cycle is when is moon is the darkest, seemingly invisible or a shadowy image of itself. Because this is the beginning of a new 28 day cycle for the Moon, we think of this period as a fresh start. I invite you to think of the New Moon as being erased from the sky giving us a clean slate to work with; emotionally, subconsciously, psychologically and even creatively.

Friday morning, the New Moon occurs in the fire sign of Sagittarius. This lunation (the Moon aligns with the Sun) represents a new beginning in Sagittarius’ optimistic manner. Jupiter, Sagittarius’ ruler tells us it’s a great time to think big time and focus on being adventurous and expansive. This is not a time to get caught up in minor details but time to look at the big picture. Have faith in your ideas and visions and most importantly apply them to what you do and what you want.

It’s a great week to make your holiday wish list. Go ahead and ask for more. The universe is saying yes right now.
