Friday

 

The Calabasas Film Festival: The Calabasas Film Festival showcases major film premieres, student films, documentaries and top quality film selections from all genres that are guaranteed to entertain.

Girls Night Out, Screening of ‘Finding Kind’: The City of Agoura Hills, in collaboration with the 91301 cultural arts program, is now taking reservations for Girl’s Night Out coming Friday, September 18. Hosted by the city, Girls Night Out is a special evening of shopping, primping and pampering followed by the screening of Finding Kind, a documentary on the topic of female bullying.

Donavon Frankenreiter at the Canyon Club: Musician, singer, songwriter and surfer Donavon Frankenreiter returns to his homeland of Southern California for an intimate appearance at The Canyon.

 

Saturday

 

Savvy Girls Workshop at Thousand Oaks Teen Center: A workshop for teenage girls about saving and making money. Learn from a few savvy women and participate in fun activities.

12th Annual Thousand Oaks Arts Festival: The 12th Annual Thousand Oaks Arts Festival will take place on September 19-20 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza and The Lakes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Simi Valley Days: There will be a music festival, carnival games, contests and prizes, free samples and giveaways, shopping, arts and crafts, great food, family entertainment, car show, rides and much more!

Starlight Festival in Oak Park: The public is invited to join scientists and astronomers for a the 2015 Starlight Festival, A Cosmic Festival For All Ages, at Oak Canyon Community Park, 5600 Hollytree Drive, Oak Park, from 3-10 p.m.

Hashtag Comedy at Hillcrest Center: September’s intimate cabaret setting is Saturday, September 19 at 8 pm at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Dr. The hour and a half show is for eighteen years and up only, and cocktails may be purchased with valid ID.

Sunday

 

Malibu Cars and Coffee: The City of Malibu, in partnership with Exclusive Motorcars, Southern California’s top car enthusiasts will enjoy a beautiful drive down the coast to meet at Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway, from 7-9 a.m.

Annual Autumnfest Marknad and Swedish Meatball Contest:There is delicious authentic Scandinavian food for sale, vendors, access to a huge 274 foot waterslide and pool, fun family games and prizes, ropes course, rock wall, petting zoo and just a whole bunch of really nice people!
