Conejo Orchid Society Annual Show and Sale in Thousand Oaks: The Conejo Orchid Society will hold its annual Orchid Show and Sale at the Thousand Oaks Library, June 13 – 15. This free event will be an opportunity to learn about orchids and the Conejo Orchid Society. Shop for some great bargains and try your hand at growing some of the most beautiful and unusual plants in the world. 

King Gillette Ranch History Tour in Calabasas: Stroll through the grounds of the Ranch and learn its history beginning at 2 p.m.

Steely Dan Tribute – Pretzel Logic at the Canyon Club: The los Angeles based band has been playing the festival scene, as well as the club circuit in Southern California since 2001. Showtime is at 9 p.m. Click here for ticket information.



Flag Day Ceremony in Thousand Oaks: The Flag Retirement Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. in the Civic Arts Plaza, Mary and Richard Carpenter Plaza Park. The public is welcome to attend and honor one of our country’s most powerful symbols of Americanism.  

Annual Touch-a-Truck Event in Thousand Oaks: One of the most popular children’s events in the area is the Annual Conejo Recreation & Park District’s Touch-a-Truck event in Thousand Oaks. Dozens and dozens of trucks and large vehicles of all shapes and sizes, all at Thousand Oaks Community Center, 2525 North Moorpark Road, between Thousand Oaks High School and Acorn Acres Park. The hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call the Conejo Recreation and Park District for more information at 805.381.2793 or visit www.crpd.org.

City of Westlake Village Concerts in the Park Series – Legend of Rock: Summer evenings in Westlake Village provide the perfect backdrop for a great entertainment series. The 11th Annual TGIF Westlake Village series offers families a series of free performances at the Westlake Village Civic Center, 31200 Oak Crest Drive. Events start at 7 p.m.

Innovation in the Golden Era Walk at King Gillette Ranch:Look behind the scenes of the Ranch in this easy walk that starts at 10 a.m.
City of Agoura Hills 2014 Summer Concerts in the Park: The show will feature the new and improved “Kidszone.” All concerts except the 20th show at Agoura High School will begin at 6 p.m. and are held at Chumash Park, located at 5550 Medea Valley Dr. in Agoura Hills.
Movies by Moonlight: Tall in the Saddle’ at Paramount Ranch: Saddle up for a rousing old-fashioned western at 8 p.m. The National Park Service’s “Movies by Moonlight” series will offer a free screening of Tall in the Saddle (1944) at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills. The film will be preceded with a presentation by local film historians Harry Medved and Mike Malone on the film history of Agoura, including Tall in the Saddle.
