Weekend Guide: Ice Skating, Writing Workshop and Tower of Power

Music in Motion at the Agoura Hills Library: Fun, musically rewarding and motivating class for babies, toddlers, and their parents. Classes are held every Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Agoura Hills Library.

Holiday Ice Rink at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks:  The ice rink, 2200 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard will only be open through January 19, 2015. General admission for a 60 minute session is $10 and skate rentals are $4.

Tower of Power at the Canyon Club: Show time is at 9 p.m.





Millenium Loop Trail Hike in Calabasas: Millenium Loop Trail is a moderately paced, 11.4 mile, 2,700′ gain loop hike in Calabasas. Bring food, water, hat, sunscreen, hiking shoes. Rain cancels. 

Free Writing Workshops at the Westlake Village Library: The Westlake Village Library will be providing six months of free Writing Workshops to the community as part of the E-Publishing at the Library grant from the California State Library! The grant is intended to encourage local writers and introduce the Westlake Village community to e-publishing. 

A Walk into the Chumash World at King Gillette Ranch: Easy 1 mile hike – learn about the Chumash! Meet at visitor center at 2 p.m.  

Dead Kennedys at the Canyon Club: The hardcore punk band of the 70s perform at 9 p.m. 



Birdwalk at Malibu Creek State Park: Bring binoculars – beginners welcome. Meet in lower parking lot at 8 a.m.  

Cultural Workshop at Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center:

Cultural Workshop with Wichita tribal artist Michael Williams, who will teach you how to make a dream catcher. Basic materials provided.

 David Lindley at the Canyon Club: The famed guitarist performs at 9 p.m.
