Microsoft Excel Basics Class at Thousand Oaks Library: A look at the basics of working with spreadsheets: rows, columns, cells, formatting, formulas, and templates.

Clarinet Quartet at Cal Lutheran Free Concert: The Saxomania quartet will trade their saxophones for clarinets in a free concert slated Feb. 19 at California Lutheran University.

Saturday

Westlake Village Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk/Run 10K/5K: The Westlake Village Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk/Run 10k/5k “PAMs Run” is Saturday, February 20th at Westlake Village City Hall. 10k starts at 8 a.m., 5k starts at 9:30 a.m., 1k kids fun run is at 10:30 a.m. (registration opens that morning at 7 a.m.).

Civil War Days at Strathearn Park Simi Valley: Visitors are invited to step back in time to a soldier’s camp in 1862 and experience the sights and sounds as re-enactors show the soldiers’ way of life throughout a typical encampment day with Union, Confederate and civilian re-enactors.

Medicinal Plant Hike at Santa Monica Mountains Visitor Center:Professor Jim Adams, Ph.D, of the USC School of Pharmacy will lead a plant walk on the medicinal uses of California native plants. WNPA Reservations Required: 805-370-2302 or samo@wnpa.org.

1.5 Mile Loop Hike at Santa Monica Mountains Visitor Center: Join a ranger and enjoy a 1.5-mile loop hike with 360° views of the Santa Monica Mountains.

LED Conducive Sewing at Newbury Park Library: Teens in 6-12 grade can learn about and work with LED lights, conductive thread, batteries and more to create a piece of wearable technology in the is free workshop.

Celebrity Jazz Concert at Agoura High Performing Arts Education Center: This year’s celebrity jazz concert at Agoura High School features David Berger and Ron Stout.

Augustana Choir at Cal Lutheran: A choir that has performed from Uppsala Cathedral in Sweden to Carnegie Hall will give a free concert at California Lutheran University on Feb. 20.

Cultural Workshop at Satwiwa Center: Lakota native Kathy Willcuts will be hosting a beaded bracelet-making workshop. She will discuss and demonstrate the stages in creating beadwork and the traditions in the art.

A Walk into the Chumash World at King Gillette Ranch: Chumash Indians have used many natural resources for thousands of years to create a sustainable way of life.

Meet Local Authors at Thousand Oaks Library: Come meet more than 25 local authors and hear their stories on an individual basis. Peruse their books and maybe pick up some new reading material to take home as they will have copies for sale and to autograph.

‘Grease’ Singalong at the Canyon Club: Singalong Grease is a unique, interactive show, marking the 40th anniversary of the original stage version of Grease.

Almost Full Moon Hike at Charmlee Wilderness Park Malibu: Bundle up and meet us under the moon to explore how nature survives cooler, wetter, winter, weather.
